This challenging program is designed with pilates based exercises. We will use 6 1/2 foot resistance bands to sculpt the whole body. We end the class with 15 minutes of challenging abdominal exercises and stretching.

PiYo (Fall 2009) PDF Print E-mail

PiYo is a fusion of both Pilates and Yoga. This combination will help relieve stress, increase flexibility and sculpt muscles. Participants will achieve a whole body and mind workout that incorporates movement, balance and centering. This class is designed for all levels because it offers many modifications and challenges for each participant.

Pilates Beginning (level one) (Fall 2009) PDF Print E-mail

A beginning pilates mat work class that improves flexibility, strength and muscular endurance while creating flatter abdominal muscles. Helps develop core body strength for everyday activites. This level does not incorporate additional equipment such as the pilates ring or bands.

Hatha Yoga (Fall 2009) PDF Print E-mail

An introduction to the various yoga asanas and breathing practices. Hatha yoga is an excellent way to reduce stress, increase stamina, strength and flexibility as well as bringing balance to your mind.

Instructor: Dawn Bradley has been in the fitness industry for 13 years. Holding AFAA certifications in group fitness, yoga, pilates, zumba, cycling and personal training.

Vinyasa Yoga (Fall 2009) PDF Print E-mail

Awaken your senses, challenge all muscle groups, recharge the spirit, and nourish the body with this invigorating yoga workout specifically designed to help kickstart the day. Vinyasa yoga is an energizing class that cultivates heat, endurance, flexibility, strength and awareness. One dynamic pose flows to the next by synchronizing movement with breath. Stretches, poses, breathing exercises build energy, boost metabolism, stimulate circulation, and restore overall vitality while improving posture, strengthening muscles, and reducing stress and tension. Students of all levels will be offered modifications to help deepen their practice and find a healthy challenge at their level.

Gentle Yoga (Fall 2009) PDF Print E-mail

Start the morning out with a great stretch. We'll begin with breathing techniques to integrate the mind and body, and then go into some gentle...then deeper...stretches on the mat to release the shoulders, hips, and back to awaken the spine and then move to some standing postures to develop more stamina, strength, and balance. All poses will have modification to meet every student's level of challenge and flexibility.
